Fear is a great motivator. It activates our fight or flight response and gets people to act in ways they wouldn't normally act. Someone who would normally sit on the sidelines and just watch the world change around them would be more apt to go out and vote for someone if they were afraid of something and that person offered a solution to that fear.

On January 10, 2026, I attended my first ever protest. It was a cold, rainy day, and the event had only been set up a couple of days prior in one of the most conservative parts of Ohio, so I didn't expect to see more than 5 or 10 people there...

What kind of world do we want our kids and grandkids to live in?

As far as I know, when I take my last breath that’ll be it. There won’t be any darkness or light, fire or air. I cease to exist.

We can stand by, let the darkness take control, weave its way through until the light is suffocated, or we can stand up and face it head on.
